Combination Mat – Woven (600g/m2) / CSM (300g/m2) – 1.25m Wide

This 600/225 ±45° combination mat combines a stitched ±45° biaxial glass fibre layer with a 225g chopped strand mat backing, delivering high strength reinforcement with excellent interlaminar bonding.

The heavier biaxial layer provides increased shear and torsional strength, while the chopped strand mat improves laminate cohesion and resin bonding between layers.

Well suited to hand lay-up, this combination mat allows strong, durable laminates to be built efficiently, reducing the risk of delamination and improving overall structural integrity.

Easy to wet out and consolidate despite its weight, it is commonly used in demanding GRP laminates where higher strength and thickness are required.

(This cloth is similar to that known in the US as Style 1708 fibreglass, 50″ wide (25 oz/yd²), 1708 being reference to 17oz per sq yard biaxial stitched (575-600 grams per square meter (g/m²))  to an 8oz per sq yard chopped strand matting (270–240 grams per square meter (g/m²).)
