Lava 20 Catalyst

Lava 20 Catalyst is used with Lava 20 liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing membrane where faster curing or thicker applications are required.

It is particularly suitable for:

• Application in low temperatures.

• Wet-in-wet applications incorporating polyester reinforcement fabric.

• Applying higher coating thicknesses in a single layer.

Mixing Ratio

Add Lava 20 Catalyst to Lava 20 at a ratio of $3\%$ by weight:

Application Thickness and Cure Time

• With the full catalyst dosage: A coating up to 3 mm3 thick may be applied in one coat. It will cure within approximately $3$ to $5$ hours.

• Without catalyst: Apply a maximum of 1.5 mmin one coat. Drying time is typically 7 to $0$ hours.

• Without catalyst: A two-coat application is recommended, or polyester matting should be incorporated where appropriate.

Advantages

• Speeds up the curing of Lava 20 polyurethane waterproofing membranes.

• Allows overcoating after approximately $3$ hours, including in colder conditions.

• Enables thicker wet-in-wet applications with polyester fabric, helping to reduce the risk of bubblings
