Lava 20 Catalyst is an Accelerating Additive, Used for a Faster Drying and Thicker Coat Application.

If you use the full catalyst (0.75 kg Catalyst with 25 kg Lava 20) you can apply a maximum of 3 mm or 118 US mils thick coating in a single coat and will cure within 3 to 5 hours.
If no catalyst is used you can apply a maximum of 1.5 mm / 59 mils in one coat and it will dry over 7 to 10 hours.

Lava 20 Catalyst

Lava 20 Catalyst is used with Lava 20 liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing membrane where faster curing or thicker applications are required.

It is particularly suitable for:

Add Lava 20 Catalyst to Lava 20 at a ratio of $3%$ by weight:

With the full catalyst dosage: A coating up to thick may be applied in one coat. It will cure within approximately $3$ to $5$ hours.
Without catalyst: Apply a maximum of in one coat. Drying time is typically 7 to $0$ hours.
Without catalyst: A two-coat application is recommended, or polyester matting should be incorporated where appropriate.

Speeds up the curing of Lava 20 polyurethane waterproofing membranes.
Allows overcoating after approximately $3$ hours, including in colder conditions.
Enables thicker wet-in-wet applications with polyester fabric, helping to reduce the risk of bubblings
